Translation Language Settings: Translate

The process of translating labels in Salesforce involves utilizing the Translations Workbench, a feature designed to facilitate the localization of Salesforce applications by translating custom labels, picklist values, and other metadata components manually in Salesforce Org.

  • Step 1: To translate data in Salesforce, start by setting up your own translations.

  • Step 2: Go to the Setup menu and type "Translation" into the Quick Find bar, then select "Translate."

  • Step 3: For example, let's say we want to translate the Custom Fields options into Portuguese for the Account object.

  • Step 4: Choose Portuguese as the language, Picklist Value as the setup component, and Account as the object.

  • Step 5: Scroll down and add your Portuguese translations for the Lead Source options.

  • Step 6: You can also translate field labels in the Translation Workbench.

  • Step 7: Salesforce already has translations for standard field labels, so you only need to translate custom field labels.

  • Step 8: Select Custom Field as the setup component, Field Label as the aspect, and enter your translations.

  • Step 4: Choose a Package: If applicable, select the package containing the custom field labels you wish to change.

  • Step 5: Choose a Language: If you need to override labels in multiple languages, select the desired language from the dropdown menu.

  • Step 6: Select Setup Component: Identify the setup component you want to modify, such as "Custom Field."

  • Step 7: Choose Object and Aspect: Specify the object and aspect for the custom field label you wish to change.

  • Step 8: Enter New Value: Double-click on the override column corresponding to the custom field label you want to modify. Enter the new label value.
